Prior to 1977 Bob Nelson was in the grocery business. Most notable was his tenure as Vice President of Sales for Holsum Bakery. With the desire to experience a different industry Bob resigned his position with Holsum and became Vice President of one of the largest packaging distributors in the state of Arizona. Bob had a desire to buy the company but the transaction was consistently delayed by the owner. Finally in October of 1980 Bob reached the end of his frustration and resigned.

In November of 1980 Bob and Gloria Nelson; with the help of their family, started Nelson Packaging Supplies Inc. out of their two car garage. With an undying commitment to customer service,
and the utilization of the Just-In-Time Delivery principals, the company grew by leaps and bounds.

In February of 1987 Bob and Gloria sold Nelson Packaging to a large paper company from
California. Bob and Gloria's children had since grown and moved away so they traded in their
Phoenix home for golf clubs and a fifth wheel trailer. For the next couple of years Bob
and Gloria toured the country chasing the little white ball. When they were through traveling
they settled in beautiful Sun City, Arizona.

In May of 1994 the Nelsons launched Nelson J.I.T. Packaging Supplies Inc.
This corporation started as a combined partnership of Bob and Gloria Nelson
and their two sons Jon and Greg. Greg Nelson is now the Owner/President of Nelson J.I.T.
Our headquarters are in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Our Salt Lake City location
opened September 2011 with rapid plans for growth throughout the
intermountain west to follow.

Built on the same customer service principles as the first venture
Nelson J.I.T. has an excellent reputation throughout the state of Arizona.
In addition to industrial and military packaging supplies Nelson J.I.T.
is a 3M Premier Service Distributor and has focused on
becoming the one source provider to a large partner base.

By expanding into janitorial, sanitary, occupational safety, abrasives,
adhesives, static control, equipment sales and service, and automation
Nelson J.I.T. has positioned itself to be the “go to” solution for years to come.
